CalvinY
The fine print

No tricks, no resale, no shadow profiles. This is exactly what Calvin Y collects when you sign up, cop merch, or grab a ticket, and how to make it disappear.

This site is run independently by Calvin Y out of Lake County, CA. We try to collect as little as possible and lean on trusted, payment-grade services for the parts that matter, so the most sensitive data (like your card) never touches our hands. Below is the plain-English version.

01

What we collect

When you fill out a form on this site (the mailing list, a booking inquiry, a tip, or a checkout) we collect what you give us. Depending on the form that can include your email address, phone number, name, the message you typed, and the city or venue you mentioned. Nothing is required beyond what the form marks as required.

We also receive a small amount of technical data automatically, like your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, which is standard for any website and is used to keep the site secure and understand, in aggregate, what people are into.

02

Texts & email (Laylo)

Our mailing list and SMS drops run on Laylo. When you join, your email (and phone number, if you give one) is sent to Laylo so we can tell you about new music, shows, and merch.

If you opt in to texts, you are agreeing to receive recurring automated marketing messages from Calvin Y via Laylo. Message and data rates may apply, message frequency varies, and consent is not a condition of any purchase. The consent box is never pre-checked. Reply STOP to any text to unsubscribe, or HELP for help. This program is operated in line with the TCPA and applicable carrier rules.

Your contact data on the list is governed by Laylo's own terms once it's with them. See Laylo's Terms and Privacy Policy. You can leave the list at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email or by replying STOP to a text.

03

Payments

We never see or store your card number. Checkout and payments are handled entirely on the hosted, PCI-compliant pages of our partners:

  • Merch runs through Fourthwall. When you buy, you're taken to Fourthwall's secure checkout; they process the order, payment, shipping, and any returns.
  • Tips and any direct-sale tickets are processed by Stripe. Stripe receives your payment details directly and confirms the charge back to us.

We only receive the result of a transaction: for example a confirmation, an order ID, the amount, and the email or shipping address needed to fulfill it. Each processor handles your payment data under its own policy: Fourthwall and Stripe.

04

Shows & tickets

Tour dates are pulled in from Bandsintown. Browsing the shows list doesn't require an account here. If you RSVP, set a reminder, or buy through a ticketing link, that action happens on Bandsintown or the ticket vendor's site and is covered by their privacy policy, not this one.

05

Analytics

We use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand traffic: which pages get visited, roughly where visitors come from, and whether things are loading fast. This is measured in aggregate and is not used to build an advertising profile of you, and we don't sell it. If you enable a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, we honor it.

06

Cookies

This site uses a minimal set of cookies and similar storage: the kind needed to make the site work (security, remembering form state) and to count visits in aggregate. We don't run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Embedded players and checkouts (Spotify, SoundCloud, Fourthwall, Stripe) may set their own cookies when you interact with them, under their respective policies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time; some features may stop working if you do.

07

Who sees it

We don't sell your personal information, full stop. We share it only with the service providers named above (Laylo, Fourthwall, Stripe, Bandsintown, and our email/hosting providers) strictly so they can do their job: sending the email, shipping the tee, processing the charge. We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect the safety and rights of the artist and our fans.

08

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as it's useful for the reason you gave it: mailing-list contacts until you unsubscribe, booking inquiries while a date is being worked out, and order records as long as we need them for accounting and support. After that we delete or anonymize it.

09

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can opt out of marketing at any time. If you're in a place with laws like the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA, that includes the rights to access, portability, deletion, and to object to certain processing, and we won't discriminate against you for using them.

The fastest route for list and text requests is the unsubscribe link or replying STOP. For anything else, email us (below) and we'll take care of it. Because some data lives with our processors, a full deletion may also mean asking them to remove it under their policies.

10

Children

This site and our drops are meant for a general audience and are not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us their info, email us and we'll delete it.

11

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of the page. Material changes to how we handle your data will be called out clearly. Continuing to use the site after an update means the new version applies.
